Former Eminonu mayor Kibiroglu was buried

Former Eminonu mayor Kibiroglu was buried

The funeral of former Eminonu mayor and Felicity Party high Disciplinary Board member Lutfi Kibiroglu (70) was buried in Istanbul.

For some time, funeral was held at Fatih Mosque for Kibiroglu, who died in Bezmialem Vakır University Medical Faculty Hospital.

To funeral, 11th. President Abdullah Gul, AK party Konya Miledeputy and former prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, former state minister Hasan Akif, Saadet party leader of general chairman of Felicity Party, Saadet Aydin, Felicity Party chairman of City of Istanbul Abdullah Sevim, vice president of Free Trial Party (Hüda PAR) and Istanbul provincial chairman Erdal Elikül, historian-writer Kadir Egyptian, as well as political-media world with names of Kibiroğlu's lovers, colleagues and citizens attended.

Who is Lutfi Kibiroğlu?

Lutfi Kibiroğlu was born in 1947 in Akşehir district of Konya. Kibiroğlu, who completed his first, middle and high school education in Akşehir, moved to Istanbul to perform his higher education in 1968. Kibiroğlu went to Germany to specialize in business and marketing. Kibiroğlu, a graduate of Galatasaray University of Economics and Management, started to work as a financial consultant after returning to Turkey.

Kibiroğlu, who was thrown into politics in neighborhood of National Salvation Party, has served as a member of Eminonu district, provincial Board of Directors, membership of General Administration Board and General Vice president.

Elected as a member of Istanbul Provincial General Assembly in 1994, Lutfi Kibiroğlu became mayor of Eminonu in local elections of 1999.

In 2005, Kibiroğlu became a founding member of Cansuyu Cooperation and Solidarity Association and served as a representative of Istanbul. Kibiroğlu was married and had two children.
