S-Bahn route blocked for 20 hours

For just under 20 hours S-Bahn line between Munich and Cross Road has been closed, after on Thursday at around 4pm several trees between stops Peiß and Aying were plunged into overhead line. Only on Friday at 34 o'clock repair work was finished and track could be released. During blockade, railway set up a rail replacement traffic and, according to a rail speaker, used 40 high taxes.

Getting off at a free distance

Some passengers who sat in S 7 during storm damage needed help of fire brigade on Thursday. As S-Bahn stopped just before Ayinger railway station, most of m climbed on a free track. Those who were unable to climb S-Bahn at station Aying from ir own power, were led by summoned fire brigades from Aying, Ottobrunn and Otterfing via a ladder from wagons. After damage to overhead line was considerable, forces of railways did not succeed in resolving damage quickly, so that commuters and students also had to rise in large taxes on Friday morning traffic.
