Dimitriy Piskulov, president of Moscow Stock Exchange currency trading unit, said idea for use of Turkish lira on stock market has evolved as a result of consultations conducted between Russian and Turkish banks. Due to economic relations between two countries, Turkish "We believe that Turkish lira will begin to be traded in Moscow stock next year," Piskulov pointed out that demand for his lira was formed. "The trade continues in large volumes between Russian ruble and dollar," Piskulov said, explaining that foreign exchange trading is conducted independently of policy. The Moscow Stock Exchange is currently being traded on dollar, euro, British pound, Swiss franc, Hong Kong dollar, Chinese yuan, Belarusian ruble and Kazakh Tenesi. Besides Turkish lira of Moscow Stock Exchange, Japanese new operations are expected to start soon.
