The relationship of Friendship and Alliance of America and Israel has been extraordinarily positive for survival of Jewish state that was born from moral ashes of World War II. But no White House tenant had decided to move American Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem (as Congress agreed in 1995) because of tensions that would cause city to recognize Israel's capital, when it houses sacred places not only of Judaism, but also of Islam and of different branches of Christianity. And because Palestinians still claim ir eastern part as capital of state y claim, even though it was occupied in 1967, in six-Day war. The international community never assumed Israeli sovereignty of that territory, although Russia recognized in January Israeli capital of Jerusalem.
President Donald Trump has again dispensed with all prudence and, in a nod to his most radical voters, has decided to throw one more of his broadsides on a stage that is a real barrel of gunpowder. Without hearing pleas and supplications of political and religious leaders from around world, Trump openly provokes Palestinian community and, by extension, entire Arab community of Middle East, where balances are already very resentful after war of Syria, refugee movements, Sunni-Shia confrontation, Islamist terrorism, and habitual conflicts in West Bank and Gaza.
Its provocation in an area in which so many destabilization factors operate is marked by arbitrariness and a high degree of irresponsibility, given that transfer of embassy, as Trump himself points out, will take years to occur. By agitating tensions in area and undermining legitimate expectations of Palestinians, who have aspired to reach solution of two States by which international community has struggled unsuccessfully for decades, Trump unnecessarily hampers The efforts that are made to find a solution to conflict.
