The american group has established itself as one of pioneers of punk music.

Grant Hart, drummer and co-founder of punk band u.s. Hüsker Dü, who brought a melodic sound and lyrics ambitious a genre deemed to be brutal and abrasive, died Thursday, September 14, at age of 56 years, has announced its house of disks.

Hüsker Dü is born of meeting in 1978 in a record store between Grant Hart and Bob Mould. The two men, joined by Greg Norton on bass, have established mselves as pioneers of punk music and major artists from Minnesota in 1980s, most famous being Prince.

Bob Mould, whose relationship with Grant Hart has deteriorated after break-up of group in 1988, has paid tribute to his former partner on Facebook :

" When we were fighting on details, it was because it mattered to us. The group was our life. It was a decade of extraordinary [...] Grant Hart was a visual artist, gifted, a storyteller is wonderful and a musician, incredibly talented. All those whom his spirit has touched will remember always. "

Grant Hart was of special importance to stories in songs he wrote for Hüsker Dü, such as Books About Ufos. After group split, he had turned to concepts of albums even more developed.

A box of much anticipated group should come out in two months.
