Prof. Dr. Aytaç said that objectives of project are to produce products that are acceptable to consumer and to work on properties such as oil ratio, fruit size, shell thickness, internal proportion, grain color. Prof. Dr. Aytac, "a distinct feature of this study is to extract a low rate of fat. We started working in 2002 years. It's been driving since 15 years. We have collected a variety of sunflower varieties that are being produced on all sides of Turkey. We made m a mixture. We've always had one plant selection. This work continued until 3 years ago. As a result of our observations, we looked at ratios such as efficiency, table diameter and size, grain fullness and proportion, growth condition of plant, ratio of disease tolerance, and refore we made choices. The final consumer is acceptable by customer so we are trying to rehabilitate varieties of sunflower that are low in fat ratio, which will not yield much oil to body when consumed. The study has now come to an end. After 3 or 4 years, if re is no setback, our variant will be revealed, "he said.
