The minister of public accounts, Gérard Darmanin, said Wednesday, September 13, ceiling of income from which taxpayers will be exempt from this local tax, in part next year and completely by 2020 for 80 % of French homes.

ceilings modulated

The computation of ceiling is carried from income tax reference (RFR), a data that is displayed on notice of tax on income, which generally corresponds to annual income from which is deducted a tax abatement of 10 %.

The sums are n modulated according to family situation: € 27 000 from RFR for a single, 43 000 € for a couple, plus € 8,000 for each of first two children, and € 6,000 for following. As well, many families will be least advantaged by this measure than by system of calculation of tax on income, which grants a half-share in each of first two children and n an additional for following.

Our calculator has been made on basis of information released on Wednesday by government. To find out if you will benefit from reform of housing tax, you must first know your RFR, as shown on first page of your notice of assessment. Certain special situations may still evolve.
