Netflix has finally spoken about future of House of Cards, whose production had been suspended indefinitely after allegations of sexual abuse against its protagonist and executive producer, Kevin Spacey. Ted Alrandos, Director of contents of online platform, has confirmed that production of House of Cards ' sixth and final season will resume in early 2018 and that Robin Wright will be protagonist.

This sixth installment, which will be shorter than usual, with only eight chapters (compared to 13 last seasons), try to give "a closure to series for fans" and return to work to approximately 2,000 people involved in some way in series , as has been said in UBS Global Communications and media conference in new York.

The production of series has been suspended since last October 31 after first allegations of sexual abuse by Spacey were known. Initially it was expected that production would start again after Thanksgiving, but scriptwriters continue to work on new scripts, of which now has to disappear character of Frank Underwood, co-star of history. It has not yet clarified how character's exit from series will occur, although end of last season already left Claire Underwood, character played by Robin Wright, stepping forward in front of her husband. I had even started talking to camera, something that had only been done before by Frank Underwood.

Among accusations that have been directed against Spacey in recent weeks were those of several House of Cards workers, who accused him of creating a "toxic" working environment and behaving like a "sexual predator."
