Mad Cool returns to give bell in its programming. Pearl Jam, famous Seattle Band and grunge icon of nineties, is new headline of Madrid Superfestival, which will hold its third edition from 12 to 14 July 2018.

All rumors are confirmed. Pearl Jam sounded in many bets for 2018 Mad Cool, but it has even been on festival's radar since its first edition in 2016. The group will perform at event, held in Valdebebas on July 12th. Before, on July 10, Eddie Vedder and his own will play at Palau Sant Jordi.

Formed in Seattle (Washington) in 1990, y were one of spearheads of grunge movement and, to this day, y remain one of most important bands of world music scene. Eight years after his last visit to our country – and 11 years of last time y stepped in Madrid – Eddie Vedder (vocals), Jeff Ament (bass), Stone Gossard (guitarist), Mike McCready (guitar) and Matt Cameron (drums) come to Mad Cool.

At moment cartel is of magnitude with confirmations of Massive Attack, Queens of Stone Age, Kasabian, future Islands, Real Estate, MGMT, Jack Johnson, Justice, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Angel Stanich, Ofenbach, I have it, Snow Patrol, Perfume Genius, Nine Inch Nails, Gold Panda, Morgan, Black Pistol Fire, Japandroids, Sampha, washed Out, Marmozets, black Madonna, At Drive In, Rag 'n' Bone Man, La M.O.D.A. and Fleet Foxes.

After success of his last call, which brought toger a total of 135,000 people and exhausted tickets and credits with presence of Foo fighters, Green Day, Kings of Leon, Wilco, Spoon or Ryan Adams, festival moves to north of Madrid , to location of Valdebebas, in an enclosure of 100,000 square meters.

With this change of location, festival also changes in size, increasing capacity of enclosure up to 35,000 people per day. For organization this decision responds to "a need for evolution and growth" whose objective is to make Madrid "a city of reference for large format live music". Mad Cool will also feature a new and renovated restoration area and continue to support various artistic disciplines through Mad cool Gallery and art market.
