The first ' Banksy ' in Spain?

A group of neighbors of locality Coruña of Ferrol has discovered this Tuesday morning a supposed graffiti of street artist Banksy, in a space that had been reserved for years for this author initiative Meninas of Nido. The work portrays two civil guards kissing and is signed with name of this representative of street art, born in Bristol, in 1975. However, it has not yet been able to confirm its authorship. Thanks to this project, walls of neighborhood of Nido have seen since its beginning how more than a hundred artists created ir version of Universal painting Las Meninas, by Velázquez.

The graffiti place, at height of number 23 of street Muiño do Vento, had been selected by promoter of Las Meninas of Nido, Eduardo Hermida. All this in framework of a proposal that seeks regeneration of this neighborhood.

Hermida, speaking to Europa Press, has assured that y cannot "corroborate aunticity" of Banksy. "We do not know if work that appeared in reserved space is original or not", and has considered that if aunticity is confirmed, project of regeneration of Las Meninas of Panido would become "universal". However, he has acknowledged that if, on contrary, "it is a copycat, it will be work of a stranger, inspired by technique of a great one". Hermida has added that re is an official account in Banksy's Instagram in which artist usually publishes his works "The next day" to perform m.

The promoter of Las Meninas of Nido says that "about two or three months ago, through an email", sent " coordinates of space I had reserved for Banksy", after it was required through an address that claimed to be of this author.

Waiting for author of work, if true, would be first Banksy in Spain, after one found in San Sebastián was erased by not obtaining confirmation of his authorship.
