" we need to be more unpredictable, more discreet, more to maneuver (...) does not allow attacker to have a certain amount of information that would render operation less effective and would expose how useless forces involved ", said minister.

The operation Sentinel has been questioned, notably because it is causing a heavy burden on staff of army, but also as a result of terrorist attacks of military personnel on patrol have become "targets" for jihadists.

The sixth attack of its kind occurred on August 9 at Levallois-Perret (Hauts-de-Seine). A man in a dark car in a group of soldiers, injuring six. In August, Florence Parly had declared that soldiers of Sentinel represented " a bulwark before all else ".
