Zone B: Easter holidays staggered in a fifth academy, that of Rennes

As the academies of Orléans-Tours, Caen, Nantes and Rouen, Rennes's are delayed the spring break, to avoid a resumption of the courses just before the 8th and 10th of May, holidays.

The Rennes Academy announced on its website on Tuesday, October 17, that it modified its dates for spring holidays 2018. Scheduled for Saturday, April 21 after course, for a resume on Monday 7 May, Easter holidays will begin on Wednesday 25 April after class, with a reprise Monday 14 May. In question, two holidays, on Tuesday, 8 May and Thursday, 10 May, which "would week of re-entry", according to rectorate.

The Orléans-Tours Academy had been first, among Twelve in zone B, to make such a decision on 21 September. Since n, academies of Caen, Nantes and Rouen have also spoken for a postponement, on same dates.

The National School calendar is adopted by Minister of Education – that of school year 2017-2018 has even been fixed in 2015, but "it may be adapted, under conditions laid down by decree, to take account of local situations", according to Code of Education.
