The former president of Generalitat Carles Puigdemont is on Monday in Brussels, as sources close to government have reported. The trip occurred on same day that state attorney general, José Manuel Maza, has announced a complaint against him and all government's exadvisors for crimes of rebellion, sedition and embezzlement. The only two exmembers of Catalan executive who have seen this Monday in public in Catalonia have been Oriol Junqueras and Josep Rull, feeding speculations that several exadvisors are also in Belgium. The country is trying to confirm this end.
Puigdemont has moved to this country only one day after Secretary of State for asylum and Belgian migration, Theo Francken (of Flemish nationalist Party N-VA), provoked a controversy by opening door to grant of asylum to former president, an offer that was Soon after denied by prime minister, Charles Michel.
