The discovery of "insomnia gene" in latest study of Prof. Dr. Michael Young from American scientist Rockefeller University, from this year's owners of Nobel Prize in Medicine, is known for its genetic research from Bilkent University Prof. Dr. Tayfun Ozcelik emerged in a study conducted in Turkey in partnership.
This year's Nobel prize in medicine revealed that it was shared between Jeffrey C. Hall, Michael Robash and Michael W. Young, who discovered molecular mechanisms that control circadian rhythm, also known as biological clock. Prof. Dr. Tayfun Ozcelik stated that four main projects were made throughout history of mankind.
