The Göteborg Immigration Administration court overturned decision on deportation of Afghan asylum-seekers bikithal Uzbek on grounds of elderly, sick and needy, and ruled elderly woman to be granted a temporary residence permit for 13 months.

dick Hjort, a member of Göteborg immigrant Administrative Court, who explained Swedish state television, said that deportation of a severely ill and quite elderly woman was wrong.

Uzbek stated that he was temporarily allowed to sit for anor 13 months, and 13 months later, elderly woman had right to apply for a new two-year residence permit to immigrants ' office.

Swedish 106-year-old asylum-related scandal decision

The Swedish Immigration Bureau decided to deport 106-year-old Afghan Bikithal Uzbek, supposedly world's oldest asylum seekers.

Afghan woman Uzbek, who escaped war last year, had reached Croatia with his family illegally. Croatia's police have examined Uzbek's paperwork and found that old woman was 105 years old. After Croatia, old woman demanded asylum in Sweden.
