In Vietnam, number of people who lost ir lives in floods and landslides caused by storms and torrential rains came to 54.

Officials said that 54 people lost ir lives in flood and landslides, which are influential in country, and that 39 people have been searched for losses. It was stated that number of people who lost ir lives before was 37.

In a statement from Vietnam disaster management Agency, 31 people were injured due to flood and landslides, more than 30,000 houses were flooded, infrastructure and cultivated areas and farm animals were reported to be damaged.

The lack of access to some regions as a result of floods and landslides that were effective in central and norrn parts of country also made it difficult to search.

Disaster status official Nguyen Thi Lien, search for 16 people who disappeared in Yen Bai region, 580 soldiers and police, more than 2,000 citizens participated in study, he noted.

At least 26 people lost ir lives in floods that occurred in north of country in August.

Every year in Vietnam, hundreds of people lose ir lives in storms and floods.
