The country has issued a warning of category four on a scale of five – for this tropical cyclone very violent, which could be most powerful of last ten years.

A powerful typhoon hit Vietnam Friday, September 15. Doksuri struck centre of country, where tens of thousands of people were evacuated. This is most powerful typhoon to have taken place in Vietnam over past ten years.

Schools closed, flights cancelled, boats are banned from leaving... communist regime paved ground. "The focus is on evacuation of homes remaining to ensure security of all," announced minister of agriculture, Nguyen Xuan Cuong.

Nearly 80 000 people have been evacuated in four provinces that are on trajectory estimated Doksuri. In single province of Ha Tinh, 47 000 people have left ir homes as early as Thursday, and or evacuations are expected in day. "We absolutely must evacuate people, by force if necessary, to avoid losses ", said Thursday deputy prime minister of Vietnam Trinh Dinh Dung.

One dead and three injured

Nghe an, south of Hanoi, winds reached up to 165 km/h according to Observatory of hong Kong. Furr south, in centre of country, in province of Hue, a person is dead, washed away by a river swollen by rains. And a 3 year old child was injured by destruction of roof of his house, according to local authorities.

Vietnam has issued a warning of category four on a scale of five, and government has deployed 250,000 soldiers on standby along coast.

The country is hit by over a dozen storms and typhoons each year. According to official figures, 140 people have died or have gone missing since beginning of year. The storms struck mainly between may and October, during monsoon, and central coast is most regularly affected. In past year, approximately 235 people were killed, and natural disasters have resulted in more than $ 1.4 billion in country.
